| At Suncoast Academy of Dance our mission is to be committed to advancing the physical and emotional positive growth through dance education, performance, community service and enjoyment of the art of dance. We are one of the largest dance studios in the Tampa Bay area featuring not only an expanded facility for your needs, but also an expanded dance curriculum. Ages 3 and up - beginner thru advanced we offer PreSchool, Combo, Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary and Hip Hop. Well known in the Tampa Bay area as a leader in the performing arts and dance education, we are very excited to be heading into our 21st year in beautiful Palm Harbor, FL under the direction of April Joseph-Sykes. Suncoast Academy of Dance offers a safe, healthy and nurturing environment . This is YOUR studio and whether you are a dancer, parent, or sibling we provide a comfortable setting. |
| Each year we present a themed dance recital at the lovely and newly renovated Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater, FL. This years theme was celebrating our 20th anniversary - 20 Years and the Show Goes On. Each class showcased a terrific and entertaining number in either ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical or contemporary. The Suncoast Academy of Dance staff and backstage volunteers did a great job of encouraging the dancers and organizing a fabulous show and experience for the audience and dancers. On site is The Bodyfit Boutique, offering a complete line of dancewear and footwear for all of your needs. We offer our current registered students a 20% discount on shoes at all times. The Bodyfit Boutique carries an extensive line of leotards, skirts, tights, dance bags, outerwear, and accessories from the leading manufacturers in dance today including Capezio, Bloch, Motionwear, Danskin and more. Our administrative staff comprised of Cindy Woods, Audrey Schade and Liam Sykes are second to none. They greet all customers with a warm welcome when they walk through the door. The administrative staff is under the leadership of CindyWoods, Manager. Cindy has been a part of our team for 17 years. She produces our media material, is our event planner, maintains the Bodyfit Boutique, and handles your customer support needs. Cindy is available if you have any questions or concerns and is happy to help you. Audrey Schade and Liam Sykes are our customer service assistants. Liam Sykes is one of our newest employees, but not new to Suncoast Academy of Dance. He is a student at East Lake High School and is always willing to assist the dancers and parents with any of their needs. Audrey Schade has been at Suncoast since she was 9 years old and is also one of our customer service assistants. She will be available to assist you in the evening hours. This year we have the pleasure of welcoming two new teachers to our faculty. These teachers are Tracy Carter and Colleen Patterson. These teachers bring their individual styles, expertise and creativity to their classes. We reach families in many different areas throughout the Tampa Bay including Tampa, Westchase, Oldsmar, Safety Harbor, Clearwater, Dunedin, Palm Harbor, Tarpon Springs, Holiday, New Port Richey, Trinity, Ozona, and Sarasota.
